February 11—Sovereignty
The word for today is sovereignty.
“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isa. 46:10).

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Prov. 19:21).

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps” (Prov. 16:9).

“God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding” (Job 37:5).

“But if it were I, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted” (Job 5:8-9).

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Gen. 50:20).

“How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears” (2 Sam. 7:22).

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good tothose who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28).

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us fromthe love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-39).

Prayer: Father, it is hard to wait for the day when our sovereign Lord will be crowned Lord of all. I am singing: Crown Him with Many Crowns today!
