February 3—Authenticity
The word for today is authenticity.
“How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep me from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer”(Ps. 19:12-14 NLT).

“His eyes are on the ways of men; he sees their every step. … Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I will not do so again” (Job 34:21, 32).

“Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth” (Ps. 26:2-3).

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Ps. 139:23-24).

“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Tim. 1:5).

“In view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men” (Acts 24:16).

Prayer: Lord, thank You for showing me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence, and promising me the pleasure of living with You forever.
