The word for today is promises.
“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses” (1 Kings 8:56).
“From the offspring of this man, according to promise, God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus” (Acts 13:23).
“In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago” (Titus 1:2).
“Therefore, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it” (Heb. 4:1).
“For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, ‘I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply you.’ And thus, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise” (Heb. 6:13-15).
“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised” (Heb. 10:36).
“For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust” (2 Pet. 1:4).
“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled” (Josh. 21:45).
Prayer: Lord, greater than the promise is the One who promises: “God is not a man, that he should be, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Doth he promise and not fulfill?”
