The word for today is goodness.
“Now arise, O Lord God, and come to your resting place, you
and the ark of your might. May your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, may your saints rejoice in your goodness” (2 Chron. 6:41).
“You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit” (Job 10:12).
“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Ps. 27:13).
“They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness” (Ps. 145:7).
“I said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing’” (Ps. 16:2).
“Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?” (Rom. 2:4).
“How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you” (Ps. 31:19).
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” (Gal. 5:22).
“For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth” (Eph. 5:9).
Prayer: Lord, Paul’s words to the Romans serve as my meditation: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
